The Western Cape Provincial Serious and Violent Crimes Unit is appealing to the public for assistance in identifying suspects linked to the fatal shooting of Vhahangwele Makolana on 25 May 2026 in Marine Circle, Table View.
Vhahangwele Makolana, aged 33, died after being shot at a restaurant in Marine Circle around 2pm. According to reports, three unidentified males entered the establishment and approached Mr. Makolana without warning.
The restaurant has been identified as News Cafe in Marine Circle. Staff and other patrons were unharmed in the incident. A video of the shooting circulated widely on social media in the days following the attack.
The individuals then began shooting at him, resulting in fatal injuries. Paramedics responded to the scene but were unable to save his life. The suspects also stole two laptops and a cellular phone from the victim.
