The Green Point City Improvement District received a 25 year service award from Subcouncil 16 during a community meeting at Prestwich Memorial on Thursday, July 16.
Chief executive officer Marc Truss accepted the award on behalf of the Green Point City Improvement District. The presentation took place during a Ward 115 spatial planning, building plans and development update regarding De Waterkant and Green Point.
The certificate, dated July 15, recognised: "In recognition of 25 years of continuous, dedicated and generous service to the community in Good Hope Subcouncil 16. Your commitment to service delivery is hereby acknowledged with gratitude." The award was presented in the presence of residents, Ward 115 councillor Ian McMahon, deputy mayor and mayoral committee member for spatial planning and environment Eddie Andrews, and Subcouncil 16 chairman Matthew Kempthorne.
